As an undergraduate, I called myself pre-med. I took the classes I needed to and I took the MCAT, but that was about it. I applied to medical school in 2007, fully unaware of what I was getting myself into.
17 applications became, by way of 4 interviews and 4 waitlists, 17 rejections.
And now I’m ready to do it all over again in a year! Whatever gaps I had in my application, I’m trying to fix them. Whatever mistakes I made in interviews, I’m going to learn from them. (Here’s one: try not to forget a tie, because you’ll have to borrow one from your distant relative again, and it always smells just a little like chicken soup.)
Med School Will Do is going to chronicle my journey to become a doctor over these next two years.

I’m also in that medical school application mode – I just graduated from college and finally made the decision that medicine was where I needed to be. Good luck with everything; I’ll be with you as well

Hi Devy!
Glad to see you found my blog. I hope everything goes smoothly for both of us! Have you applied already or are you waiting like I am for this coming June?
